Expandable Broadens Base of SaaS Customers
Late in 2007 Expandable introduced a version of its system for customers preferring to pay on a monthly basis to access the system remotely through a Web browser as opposed to installing Expandable on site.
The monthly payment model is called Software as a Service (SaaS) and has gained ground over the last few years as an option for companies wanting to minimize their IT footprint by having their enterprise-level systems installed and maintained for them off-site
Expandable's SaaS offering is called Expandable On Demand (EOD). Since introducing the product Expandable has been steadily increasing its base of EOD customers, and now has SaaS customers across the US ranging from Silicon Valley to the Chicago area to the East Coast. There's also an Expandable On Demand customer in Australia.
Expandable On Demand customers range from high technology manufacturers of networking equipment to medical technology companies to a manufacturer of innovative conveyor equipment.
The size of Expandable On Demand customers range from startups to a division of a Fortune 500 company.
