| As Expandability 2010 participants learned at the conference, the IEUGA is planning to forego a 2011 user conference and pick up again with a May, 2012 event. |
| "Being that the down economy and employee travel restricitions affected participation in the 2009 and 2010 user conferences, we've made the hard decision to sit it out a year until the economy hopefully improves," said IEUGA president Jan Young. |
| "We've seen about half the normal participation level at the last two conferences and although we've worked closely with the hotel properties to minimize the damages, we've taken a hit on both conferences," continued Jan Young. |
| "As a way to reduce the risk of convening a conference in 2012, we've decided for the first time to stage the conference near Expandable's home offices in Santa Clara," added IEUGA VP Jim Phelan. "We've identified some great venues in the Silicon Valley area of California and are in the process of narrowing down the field. We expect to make a decision on the exact location for the conference before the end of the year. |
