Orange County Local Users Group Meeting
By Bill Cowley, IEUGA Board Member
Interventional Spine hosted our first meeting of the Orange County Local Expandable Users Group on Wednesday, September 16th.  Jan Young, the IEUGA President, drove up from San Diego to lend her support (don’t ask her for directions). Five local companies were represented.  It was a great opportunity to meet and connect with local users facing similar challenges in business.

After initial introductions, Brent Clark (on site) and Dennis Payton (on a remote connection) demonstrated the Expandable Intelligence product. This was followed by questions and answers.
The group agreed to meet every other month to discuss advanced topics and share ideas.  We look to volunteers for each meeting’s location, lunch and topics leaders.  Future discussion topics include Bills of Materials & Phantom Assemblies, Product Document Control – how to control Engineering Changes, Creative uses of Shop Travelers, Shop Routing and How to use Information Links.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 18th, from 11:00 AM until 1:00PM at Glaukos in Laguna Hills.   We will discuss “How do you handle Security in Expandable”?
If you would like to attend the meeting or join our group, please contact me at wc@gurusome.com.  I would be pleased to add you to the mailing list.
