Expandable Adds New Support Personnel
There's a fresh voice on the Expandable hotline - it's Colleen Brodt, Expandable's new customer support representative. Colleen joins the Expandable customer support  team with system experience she gained while working at two separate Expandable customers. Most recently Colleen was with Oorja Protonics where she used Expandable in performing her role as buyer/planner.
Colleen is a devoted mother to her seven-year old daughter Emily and is kept busy facilitating Emily’s many interests including dance, Hannah Montana and an extensive Webkinz collection. When she gets free moments Colleen enjoys fine dining, taking pictures and digging into Oprah’s recommended reading list.
Colleen earned her degree in Supply Chain Management from the Arizona State University School of Business.
Welcome, Colleen!
Free Expandable Training
Expandable offers a free introductory training class to all new users of the system. The "Expandable for New Users" class is held at the beginning of each month and is targeted to new hires who will be using Expandable at existing customer sites.
The two hour class is presented online using LiveMeeting and features the same great instructor-led experience as the rest of the Expandable classes.
Registration is available through the Expandable website. Visit the class schedule for times and dates.
Expandable e-Purchase Requisitions v3.0
Expandable is expected to release an updated version of its optional e-Purchase Requisitions module near the end of Q4 2008. In addition to being compatible with v8.4, the product is expected to include a number of enhancements including the elimination of the middleware connection to Expandable that was used in previous releases.
The product is one of Expandable's fully .NET designed web-based modules and allows the complete electronic approval routing of a purchase requisition before being converted to a purchase order in Expandable.
Expandable Intelligence Version 1.0
Expandable has started construction on an exciting new product that will bring life and focus to your Expandable business data. Formal product development has already begun in developing graphical reporting tools designed to enhance business visibility.
At the core of the product is the LogiXML web-based graphical reporting engine that brings Expandable data to life and provides at-a-glance business intelligence as well as drill-down detail for executives, finance, production and sales personnel.
Expandable development has engaged LogiXML to provide a head start on the look and feel of the web reporting framework. Expandable expects to launch the product during the first quarter next year with a starter bundle of graphical reports.
Expandable and SalesLogix Integration 2.0.1 Rev 8.4
In support of v8.4 an updated version of Expandable's integration with SalesLogix has been released. The Expandable and SalesLogix integration engine allows customer-specific data in Expandable to be viewed within the SalesLogix CRM client. The integration engine also provides transfer and synchronization of Accounts from SalesLogix to the Expandable Customer Master.
With integration to SalesLogix, your sales staff has immediate access to sales orders, invoices, sales activity and products purchased including serialized part information.
Expandable Modifies Accounting Classes
To make it easier for accounting people to attend training courses Expandable has divided it’s General Ledger and Month End Close course into two separate classes. Starting in January of 2009, a half-day General Ledger class and a separate half-day Month End Close class will be available at the Expandable training center and online.
“Breaking the course into two separate classes allows accounting users to make better use of their time,” said Expandable’s training manager, Beth Herner. “People who perform the day-to-day GL accounting are not necessarily the same people responsible for performing month end close so we’re breaking up the full-day GL and Month End Close class to provide shorter classes that specialize in individual needs.”
To register for the new half-day classes visit the Expandable website.
