Tailoring Inquiries to the Way You Work

Expandable supplies a wealth of options for viewing information in the system. Deciding on which is the right option for the job at hand can be confusing when trying to choose between QBE, a Crystal report or an inquiry. In this session Stacy Sutton of NeoMatrix sorts out the power of QBE and inquires versus reports and shows how many of your reporting and inquiry options can be customized to present just the information you want, in the order you want it. This session is a user-to-user explanation of customizing your inquiries, including rearranging columns in inquiry grids, adding selection criteria and data elements to the inquiry grid, using inquiry results as reports and more.

Quality In - Quality Out
Doing things right the first time is a universal emblem of quality that leads to continued high levels of success and productivity. In this session, John Buller of Expandable identifies ways to use the built-in quality features in Expandable to facilitate better visibility of quality-management issues. Included will be examples of how the quality management process starts before product even gets to the dock, and an explanation of how using reason codes and setting up quality MRB and RMA processes can facilitate useful quality-related enterprise reporting.
Creating and Using Views with Crystal Reports
A view is a real-time representation of data from one or more tables and can provide a summary of the data by representing the results of sums and/or formulas instead of the actual transaction detail. In this session, Cheryl discusses in what situations a view is useful and demonstrates how to create a view and use it in a Crystal report. If you’ve ever wanted to have an easy way to put the Table Values data elements into separate tables for ease of use in reports, or if you have ever needed to join two tables in a report, but doing so creates one-to-many relationships that give inaccurate results, this session will provide the answers you need.
Introducing Excel-based Financial Reporting and Analysis with BizNet

With FRx in its twilight and eventual discontinuance, Expandable has explored alternatives to financial reporting and has partnered with BizNet to integrate BizInsights, an Excel-based business reporting tool and analytics solution reporting and analysis. With BizInsights, power reporting tools are developed not only to support financial reporting on the General Ledger but also can be developed for any data reporting within the Expandable ERP database making the investment in the tool a clear win for any company.
This session discusses a brief state of FRx end of life and the Expandable General Ledger BizContent that supports the financial reporting as an alternative to FRx for financial reporting.

Advanced Crystal Reports

Cross-tab reports are a powerful way to create summaries of data in a spreadsheet-style format. They generate summary data in a grid where the rows and columns represent groups of data, providing users a report format that is easy to read and consumes a small area of the page. This session provides an understanding of how to use cross-tab reports by demonstrating the creation of a cross-tab report in Crystal that reviews vendor and part quality history. Label creation for QC acceptance labeling will also be covered.
